Hey lovelies!

so my review went WELL.

Tons of amazing feedback in the artmaking, as well as a good amount of feedback on my thesis paper.

And as a treat, I wanted to share how I make an image!

This is a business card I’m currently designing for myself:

first I draw the image by hand with traditional paper and my favorite lead pencils.

next, I scan the image at a high resolution and correct levels to make sure they resemble how I actually drew the values.

then, I flat the image digitally with color and see how they work with the drawing.

finally, I paint digital and make sure values and color work!

here’s a close to finished image of it,

I’ll post the final with my hand typography when it’s all done!
